Are Chinese Soba and Tomi Tada Store closed? Is it another store doing?
Miki The main store is closed. It will be resumed in the middle of January. Other stores are open. For year-end and New Year sales I think that it is good to examine a homepage etc.

Why is this store crowded
It is often introduced to magazines as a specialty restaurant for katsumen noodles, and the shops are not wide. The nearby Tomita store is not so crowded.

I am planning to visit and will arrive about 7am to line up. I was wondering if I am allowed to get tickets for 3 people total by myself? My friends wont be arriving until 10am so I wanted to know if I can get tickets on their behalf as a group.

You don’t need my word for it. This place has the best noodles out there. Be sure to stop by early (I’m taking 6am) to get your ticket at 7am when they start doing food prep. It’s worth the wait and there’s plenty of stuff to do in matsudo to pass the time.

You go in the morning at 8am to order your meal. They then schedule your eating time. It's a ritual. After eating, you are in a state of bliss. OMG, literally a drug!!! While walking out, I was questioning what just happened. Total euphoria! I will be chasing the dragon and returning before I head back home to Canada.

Arrived 8am, ordered and went back 11 am. Positive: the complexity of the soup base is at different level / in its own world. Downside: need some knowledge and skills in appreciate the philosophy behind the food e.g. the speed of consumption to get a balance of temperature, need the “soupu wari†in getting the best out of it - expected finishing. Would only go back if time permit, otherwise visit their store in Tokyo station should do the job (be honest, I can’t be ask)
